Iran director to judge at Swiss filmfest

Iranian filmmaker Behnam Behzadi is to judge at the 40th Göteborg Film Festival in Sweden.

The director of the movie ‘Inversion’, Behzadi is announced as the jury member of the international section.

Behzadi’s latest film ‘Inversion’ will also be screened in the out of competition section.

The movie was debuted in the Un Certain Regard Section of the 69th Cannes Film Festival in May 2016.

As the leading film festival in the Nordic countries, Göteborg Film Festival brings films from all over the world to Göteborg, the official website of the event wrote.

The main goal is to be the springboard that sends new Nordic film out into the world.

The festival began in 1979 and has since drawn in thousands of moviegoers to Göteborg each year.

In 2016 the festival had around 130,000 visits that were offered 450 films (1031 screenings) from 84 countries.
